All of the guest rooms at Ballathie House are unique, providing an elegant, authentic place to spend a truly luxurious break. The main house retains all of the features of the original grand hotel, including roaring log fires, traditional portraits and antique clocks and furniture. This classic feel is brought into each guest room through the impressive period features and carefully selected furnishings.
The hotel’s Riverside Rooms are located 100 yards from the hotel, offering a peaceful atmosphere on the banks of the River Tay. These 16 stunning rooms all have fantastic views of the river and gardens, and also offer all the luxury of the hotel’s Main House. There are also two Luxury Suites on the ground floor, which feature private lounge areas and irresistible comfort.

As one of the grandest Perthshire hotels, Ballathie House offers an exquisite selection of dining options to choose from. The award winning main restaurant serves a variety of traditional dishes, sourcing its ingredients from the local area. With a menu that changes daily and an innovative head chef, the dining room offers sublime lunch and evening options.
Afternoon tea is available in the hotel’s Drawing Room, offering a delightful selection of small sandwiches, fresh scones and rich cakes. Sunday lunch is also served in the main dining room.
The hotel bar is another excellent place to enjoy a light meal, alongside a refreshing drink. The impressive range of malt whiskies is an absolute treat for connoisseurs, and the staff are always on hand to offer advice on what to try.

Ballathie House Hotel is situated on the banks of the River Tay, near the small, quaint town of Cargill. The nearest large town is Kinclaven, and Meikleour and Wolfhill are also nearby. Located north of Perth, the Bellathie is easily accessible by car and offers free parking for all guests. It is, in many senses, a true country hotel.

The Scottish Highlands location of Ballathie House makes it an ideal place to enjoy some salmon fishing, as the River Tay in Perthshire is known globally for its salmon. Ballathie is situated on the banks of the river, near the tributaries of Isla, Ericht and Almond. There are also lochs and fisheries close by, which offer the chance to take part in stillwater fishing. As well as Atlantic salmon, the area also has rainbow trout, pike, perch and grayling.
